Quotes

All quotes are only valid for 30 days from quotation date.

Conditions of Payment:
50% Deposit will be required before order can be executed. The repayment of deposit will be at the discretion of Helen Osler Doors.
The rest of the quoted amount (50%) is payable on completion of door, whether the door is to be delivered or stored by Helen Osler Doors until delivery date

 Installation fee, Hardware and Transport (where applicable) is payable upon installation.

In the event of arrears payments, for whatever reason, Helen Osler Doors will charge 2% interest per month on the amount owing.
Delivery:
Doors will be delivered at approximately the arranged date.  Helen Osler can not be held responsible for any delays due to broken machinery, strikes, civil unrest, worker unrest, accidents, regulations imposed by any Government of governing body, of any other reason beyond their control.

A delivery charge of R2.10 per/km from the factory premises at Brits is applicable. (Minimum charge of R100)

Where another Transport Company is subcontracted, that transport company will be regarded as the buyer’s agent.  Liability and transport cost is transferred to the buyers as soon as the product is delivered to the Transport Company.

Upon delivery, or installation, the buyer has to approve the product and sign the delivery note.  In the event of an agent or person other than the buyer signing for receipt of the product, such agent accepts any further costs, which might occur after delivery.

Any delivery or partial delivery, will be viewed as an additional contract.
Installation:
Installations are done on sites in South Africa by a fully qualified installation team.  The price that will be quoted is at Factory Site, Brits.  All other costs such as, transport, and where applicable, taxes (Export Tax), overnight accommodation for labor teams and all other unforeseen costs are the buyer’s responsibility.

The buyer is responsible for the provision of electricity at the point of installation.

Installation only includes carpentry, and not building –or breaking structures in any way.  The buyer carries the risk of damages to structures.

Before a door can be installed, the final floor finishing must already been done.

 Arrangements can be made to deliver a frame beforehand, when needed.

Warranty :
Helen Osler Doors are warranted for 2 years from date of shipment to be of acceptable material and workmanship.

Helen Osler Doors will only consider claims for damages or defects to products, if the claim reaches us within 7 (seven) days after delivery date

Before the buyer can institute any claims, Helen Osler Doors should be given reasonable time to correct the working of the product.  Helen Osler Doors has the right to use own discretion in replacing or repairing the product, or part thereof at the place of delivery.

A bending of 5mm over a 2 m length on hardwood styles will not be considered as a defect.
Ownership :
Helen Osler Doors transfer ownership of and in the product to the buyer upon receiving full payment for the product.  Helen Osler Doors is entitled to remove any of their products from any premises while ownership is still seated in them.
Liability :
Liability in and on the product is transferred to the buyer upon receipt of the product and then seated in him.

Helen Osler Doors can in no way be held responsible for any loss or damages, for whatever reason to the product.  Nor can any liability for loss or damages be claimed from any person or persons in the employ of Helen Osler Doors, once the liability is seated in the buyer.

Third Party Claims :
Helen Osler Doors cannot be held liable for any third party claims for loss, damage or injuries incurred due to the use of their product.
Materials : 
Helen Osler Doors use only top grade material in the manufacturing process.  Surface cracks or cracks of joins, may occur due to the natural expansion and shrinkage-qualities of wood.  There may also be a natural colour-variation within the same species of wood.  This is not regarded as defect.
Treatment :

During the manufacturing process, doors are treated with Woodoc 30 Exterior Poliwax Sealer.  After installation all cutting edges are sealed again.  It is recommended that doors be treated at least twice a year with Woodoc Penetrating Oil.

Storage :
Doors are to be stored in a normal climate away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity.  Handling marks are to be  sanded down with 120 grain (finer) sandpaper and resealed.  Doors are to be stored in an upright position and should not lean on it’s own weight.
